Database
It is called database information banks containing data on various
topics and categorized differently, but share with each other some kind of link
or relationship that seeks to sort and classify them together.
Bit
Bit stands for binary digit
(ie of 'bit' in Spanish referred to as bit, and to a lesser extent as bit). A
bit is a binary digit numbering system. The storage capacity of a digital
memory also measured in bits, because this word has several meanings.
Buffer
In computing, a data buffer
is a memory space on a disk or in a space reserved for temporary storage of
digital information digital instrument, while waiting to be processed. For
example, an FFT analyzer have one or more input buffers, where digital words
representing the samples of the input signal are stored. The Z-buffer is used
for rendering 3D images.
Byte
It is the basic unit of
information used in computing and telecommunications, and is equivalent to an
ordered set of bits (usually 8 bits, so that in Spanish it is also called byte)
set.
Gigabyte
A gigabyte is a unit of information storage whose symbol is the GB,
equivalent to 109 (one thousand million- 1,000,000,000) bytes.
Cache
In computing, cache
memory is fast access to a computer, which temporarily stores the newly
processed data (information).
GPS
The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a system that determines the
whole Earth the position of an object (a person, vehicle) with an accuracy up
to centimeters (if differential GPS is used), but typically lasts a few meter
accuracy. The system was developed, installed and used by the United States
Department of Defense. To determine positions on the globe, the GPS system uses
24 satellites and uses trilateration.
The term cracker is used to refer to people who
"break" a security system, a web application or any other computer
system represent other types of attacks that similarly can be considered acts
of cracking.
Disk Hard
In computing, the hard drive or hard disk drive (in
English: Hard Disk Drive, HDD) is a data storage device that uses a magnetic
recording system for storing digital files
Pointing device
A pointing device is a
hardware component (more specifically a human interface device) that allows the
user to enter data into a computer space.
D-RAM
to refer to a type of
RAM technology based on capacitors, which gradually lose their charge,
requiring a dynamic refresh circuit that every certain period, check that
charge and replenished in a refresh cycle.
DVD
is a type of optical
disk for data storage. The DVD initials stand for Digital Versatile Disc (Digital
Versatile Disc), so that both acronyms (in Spanish and English) match.
Driver
A device driver or
device driver (in English: device driver, or simply driver) is a computer
program that allows the operating system to interact with a peripheral, abstracting
the hardware and providing an interface
Firewall
In computing, a firewall is a network security system that monitors and controls the incoming and
outgoing network traffic based on predetermined security rules
